Here it is folks, the Home stack you've all been waiting for. If you're more than a casual user of HyperCard then “Home Sweet Home” is for you. It's a no-nonsense utility that's easy for novices to use and quick and efficient for experts too.
It's the best Home stack I've see to date and I'm not saying that just because I wrote it. It's the best because it's simple, uncluttered by tacky bits hanging off it and it works!
As for the documentation, well there ain't no docs 'cos judging from the silly questions I get about other fully documented stacks I've written, nobody reads them anyway. Most features are explained in the message area at the bottom of the card, and others are self-explanatory and/or obvious! If you want to know what something does, try it!
Just one hint however, one of the people testing this stack (hello Linda!) managed to lock herself out of the Preferences card by hiding its button. -P will fix this if it happens to you.
The standard Apple® Home scripts have been retained in a usable but modified form. For example, this Home stack won't waste time every time you open it checking for missing fonts, but the handler is still there in case other stacks ask for it.
The sample buttons on this card can be removed by shift-dragging them to the Bin!
(They are assigned to files on the author's hard disks so they won't work on yours!)
Please make a copy of this stack before you hack away at it and always re-distribute ORIGINAL copies of “Home Sweet Home”!
If I get enough feedback from users I'll keep working on this stack and implement any suggested features and functions.
Feel free to hack away at “Home Sweet Home” and add your own scripts but please only re-distribute UNMODIFIED copies.
